CARE INSTRUCTIONS: BIJOUX COLLECTION

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY DEMI-FINE JEWELRIES

Care Instruction: FAQ

MIREILLE BESPOKE BIJOUX COLLECTION IS A DEMI-FINE JEWELRY COLLECTION, MADE OF 14K / 18K REAL YELLOW GOLD, DOUBLE ELECTROPLATED ONTO STERLING SILVER / STAINLESS STEEL / BRASS. SOME OF THE PRODUCTS ALSO COMES WITH CZ DIAMONDS.
HERE ARE SOME CARE TIPS ON HOW YOU CAN TAKE GOOD CARE OF THEM:

  • Avoid exposure to chemicals.
This includes perfumes, oil, nail polish / nail polish remover, harsh chemicals, skincare or body / hair care products, hair dye, etc. Do not spray on perfume or hairspray or apply lotion after putting on your jewelry. Wait until your lotion is fully absorbed before putting on jewelries. As our Bijoux Collection is plated with real gold, and real gold can be easily eroded by chemicals.

  • Remove your jewelry before you swim or workout.
Exposure to chlorine, salt water, or sweat can damage the shine in the plating and cause fading. Always remove your plated jewelries beforehand.

  • Store your plated jewelry where it won’t rub against other hard accessories
Slight wear and tear is inevitable, but we can minimize it with proper storage to avoid scratches. A soft bag—one per piece of jewelry—is ideal.

  • Clean the proper way, gently.
Wipe your gold plated jewelry after each use, using a soft jewelry cloth to remove any dirt or debris. You may also soak it for a few minutes in warm, soapy water and dry it with a soft cloth as needed. Make sure that the soap you choose is fragrance-free and also free of harsh chemicals. Avoid jewelry cleaner sprays and anti-bacterial soap as they contain substances which can tarnish gold plating.

  • Do NOT polish plated jewelries.
NEVER polish any of your plated jewelries, as this will make the plating fade and eventually gone.

Gold plated jewelry will remain bright and shine for a longer period of time if we know how to clean and protect it from scratches or fading.
